Part of me doesn't want to leave this review. Part of me wants people to not realize how great North Raleigh automotive is. I understand that when places become really successful prices go up, but that said they deserve it so much that I can't help but leave this review. North Raleigh automotive does not nickel and dime you, they charge less than their competitors, they do work that is just as good as any quality shop out there, they're competent, they're always nice, they get your work done quickly. They go above and beyond. I ended up leaving there for a repair that not only did they not charge me for, but they ended up giving me something free. All I can say is these guys are fantastic. If you're looking for any work on your car, I would recommend them hands down.

My older Honda usually gives mechanics headaches, but this shop actually listened when I explained the shaking problem at highway speed. Turns out the tires needed balancing and one alignment adjustment. Drove home at 70 mph with zero vibration for once.

I haven’t been here for a while ( but always send my daughter there since she started driving ) because my job as a flight attendant usually doesn’t work with their opening hours but decided to get my oil change and quick tire rotation done during my vacation days. The oil change process was fair but I was surprised I had to pay for the tire rotation, which is a free added service at lots of other locations as well as a quick vehicle inspection (fluids etc). Still the same friendly people but a different feel and maybe service standards since I started going there years ago.

How I've lived here for 34 years and not known about this place is beyond me! I have a 1970 Plymouth that was being restored until the restorer passed away in 2016. We never got to fix the AC. A guy on Nextdoor recommended this place and what a gold mine! The owner is a straight shooter - said he'd have a look and try to fix - not really having any idea what wasn't working (compressor etc.) they were able to fix it - in a day!! I was bracing for a steep price - but they were beyond fair. I will be back and I highly recommend!!

Neil and Woody were very courteous, kind and honest when taking on fixing my old Ford. They were willing to dig in and research when the part they ordered didn't fit. I'm very appreciative as not a lot of people will even work on it, much less keep at it until they figure it out. I actually felt kind of bad that it was such a pain! It's driving great now and I will definitely use them again for my truck & car maintenance needs.
